About the Competition
2009 West Coast Wine Competition
Location: Sonoma Mountain Village, Rohnert Park, CA
Dates: April 22-24, 2009
Deadline to Enter: March 20, 2009
West Coast Wine Competition continues on its mission to award outstanding west coast wines. Entrants are invited to submit wines produced in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Baja California, British Columbia Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
An esteemed panel of judges include top journalists, winemakers, distributors, restaurant sommeliers, and other industry elite as well as media and marketers of wine, many of whom make direct use of awards results in their purchasing and marketing decisions.
Winning an award in WCWC affords you both a unique selling proposition in your retail room and adds talking points in your retail room. Remember, only wines from the above noted regions are able to enter. A win here shows how your wine really stacks up against others produced in the same areas.
In 2008, we had a field of over 1,700 entries. Our judges awarded a total of 16 Double Gold, 179 Gold, 600 Silver, and 506 Bronze medals. We expect 2009 to be a banner year.
We are pleased to welcome Sonoma Mountain Village as an official event sponsor in 2009!
